In the simple present tense, negative and question forms are made using the auxiliary verb "do". Following are the rules.
Negatives in the simple present are formed by adding don't or doesn't before the simple form of the verb:
නැත/නොවන/නොවේ යන අර්ථ ගොඩ නැගීමේදී සාමාන්ය වර්ථමාන කාලයේදී "do" යන උපකාර පදයේ නැත යන අර්ථය දනවන don't or doesn't යන පද ක්රියාවට ඉදිරියෙන් භාවිතා කෙරේ. පහත දැකිවෙන් එම රීතීන්ය.

In other words, only THIRD PERSON SINGULAR subjects (he, she and it) have DOESN'T -- the rest have DON'T. ඒක වචන තෙවන පාර්ශ්යවයකදී පමණක් භාවිතා කෙරේ.
Forming a yes/no question ඔව් නෑ ප්රශ්න සාදනය
Yes/no questions are also created using the auxiliary
do. This time, the auxiliary is placed before the subject. මෙහිදී උප ක්රියාව කතෘ පෙර යෙදේ.
