Web pages are primarily text documents formatted and annotated with Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). In addition to formatted text, web pages may contain images, video, and software components that are rendered in the user's web browser as coherent pages of multimedia content. Embedded hyperlinks permit users to navigate between web pages.

Multiple web pages in a common domain name called a website. Website content can largely be provided by the publisher. Some webs allow users to contribute content . Websites are used for education, entertainment, politics, news and commercial purposes.

Web teechnologies provide messaging, access to information and application for manage digital activities. Web mechanism ensure moving a message from the sender to the recipient, receiver to retrieve the message, send feedback, acknowledge reception or failure of communication.

A web browser is a software application for retrieving, presenting, and traversing information resources on the World Wide Web, using their URLs. World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
W3C is the main international standards organization for the World Wide Web.
Founded by Tim Berners-Lee,the consortium is made up of member organizations which maintain full-time staff for the purpose of working together in the development of standards for the World Wide Web.
The W3C also engages in education and outreach, develops software, and serves as an open forum for discussion about the Web.
