OR gate output 1 if any of the inputs are 1 else 0.

OR gate consists of two transistors.
an inputs sends a 1 signal to the upper transistor  turns it "off".
hence no signal goes to the center part of the lower transistor
which means that it is switched "on" resulting an output of 1.
