Safe Family Mobile App aims to help locate family members during a disaster and enable live communications among them. Safe Family is a multilingual app supporting Unicode text. The app helps any member to broadcast location and ask for help in real-time.
The app obtains their live location information and shown in a map. Each user is allocated a separate color and marker title. The app is useful in rescue operations during disasters.
The home screen has the facility to change the language. The app is currently designed to support 3 local languages of Sri Lanka.

In addition to GPS, the internet must be available to use the app.
Currently, SafeFamily supports upto 7 members
- Open the app and wait for GPS to come alive.
- Goto Manage section
- Click Clear to clear databases.
Clearing the database should only be done once.- Enter the user's email and select the user's marker color.
- Click add to insert user data and home location to the database.
Refresh : See members
Remove: Remove the user from the list
Update: Update user settings
Find members : See all members on a map.
The user locations updates every one minute.
It also gets updated when GPS location gets updated.
Refresh : Refresh user locations.
Test : Using this feature users can test apps.
When the test button is clicked small fractions are adjusted to latitude and longitude user's locations and displayed for testing.
When GPS location changes, the app updates the cloud database and the location broadcasted to the user.
Provides live chat facility to uses in any language.
